Real Spicy Chili



Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

  • 1 lb. ground beef

  • 1 can (16 oz.) red kidney beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 can (15 oz.) diced tomatoes

  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced

  • 2 tbsp. ground cumin

  • 2 tbsp. sugar

  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp. tomato paste

  • 1½ tsp. salt

  • 1½ cups beef broth

  • 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce

  • 2 tbsp. Cielito Mio Gourmet Salsa with Dried Chiles (or more!)

Directions:

  • Add olive oil to a large pot and place it over medium-high heat until hot. Add onion and cook stirring occasionally, until soft.

  • Add the ground beef and break it apart with a wood spoon. Cook until the beef is browned.

  • Add cumin, sugar, tomato paste, garlic powder and salt. Stir until combined.

  • Add the broth, diced tomatoes, drained beans, and tomato sauce. Stir well.

  • Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to medium-low, to simmer the chili, for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Remove from heat. Add Cielito Mio Gourmet Salsa with Dried Chiles and stir! Ready, you will have a chili that everyone would love!

  • Serve with sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese.

Tips:

  • You can add more Cielito Mio Gourmet Salsa with Dried Chiles, depending on how spicy you want it.

  • This recipe also works with turkey ground meat.
